Ez. 2:8-3:4 | Ps. 119:14, 24, 72, 103, 111, 131 | Mt. 18:1-5, 10, 12-14
Ezekiel learns that he must devour the Word of God in order to be able to go out to bring that Word to others. Jesus gives us an example of what we are called to be in order to do the same. Jesus calls us to be like a small child who trusts beyond all imaginings. Jesus invites us to trust Him, to surrender to His Word, and allow that Word to envelop and shape us. This is the quality of trust, of the child’s trust to which Jesus calls us. Jesus continues to teach us not to hurt children and to be loving towards them in all ways. Again Jesus tells us that each of us is so important that no matter what, he will pursue us when we stray. How can we not trust Jesus?
Reflect on this virtue of trust. When are you called to live it? How well do you respond? Begin to place more trust in Jesus.
