Ex. 1:8-14, 22 | Ps. 124:1-8 | Mt. 10:34-11:1

Jesus does not waste words in teaching us what He came to do.  Without a doubt, He has a vision, a goal, if you will.  He states that it is so important a task that there will be division because of His tasks.  We must be aware that carrying out God’s will is more important than anything else.  Jesus tells us that nothing can have more importance in our lives.  We must love God above all things, and that this may mean that we will have to carry a cross as He did.  Jesus also tells us that those who receive Him received the one who sent Him.  Those who carry out the Word of God and welcome the disciples will be blessed.

Take time today to see who or what is number one in your life.  Is there something or someone who comes before God?  What will you do to change this?  Give time to be with God and ask God to help you remain steadfast in your love and service of Him.
