Ex. 32:15-24, 30-34 | Ps. 106:19-23 | Mt. 13:31-35
Moses comes down from Mt. Sinai with the two tablets which contain the Ten Commandments. When he sees the golden calf, he is so angry that he breaks the tablets. The next day, Moses returns to the mountain to request forgiveness. The Gospel contains additional parables which Jesus tells in order to gain our interest in the Kingdom of Heaven. The small grain of a mustard seed growing into a large tree, the yeast which is measured into flour, teach us that God’s kingdom is much more than we can imagine. If we live as we should then we will be able to enjoy the kingdom of God, here on earth, as we will in the future. God desires that we will be in heaven. It is up to us to listen to Jesus’s teaching, to work on carrying out those words in all aspects of our lives and thus spread the Good News to all with whom we come in contact.
How well do you carry out the Word of God in your life? Do you bring the Good News of God’s kingdom to all? What can you do to enhance the work you do? Try to do so today.
