Tb. 2:9-14 | Ps. 112:1-2, 7-9 | Mk. 12:13-17
Tobit and Jesus are dealing with others and use the difficulties of the day (lack of sleep and money) to try to catch Jesus in His work and give enough material proof that Jesus is doing God’s work. Tobit keeps faith in God by dealing with the blindness of his father that occurred through the drippings from the birds. We are called to respond to the needs of people by helping others out and to continue to follow despite being ridiculed by friends and family.
We can connect this to yesterday’s readings by remembering that if we say “yes to God,” we will never be excluded from God. We will be supplied with whatever gift we need to help those around us.
