The last Sunday of the Church Year is the Feast of Christ the King.  We celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday and next Sunday we begin the new Church Year with the First Sunday of Advent. We are reminded today that Christ was the Shepherd who came to lead all the sheep to God.  Christ came to teach us how to live so that others might live.  Ezekiel tells us this fact and also that God will continue to seek us out so that we will enjoy heaven.  Paul reminds us that Jesus came to conquer all things.  The last thing that Jesus needed to destroy was death, and He did so through His crucifixion and then by rising from the dead.  Thus, Jesus broke the bonds of death.  Jesus tells us the story of our judgment.  When our end time comes, we will be judged on the way we lived the Word of God by being good, sharing our possessions, and being concerned for others. 

 Pause to reflect on how well you share your wealth, gifts, talents with others.  Do you live for yourself or for others?  What needs to be changed in your life?
