Mal. 3:13-20b | Ps. 1:1-4, 6 | Lk. 11:5-13
Jesus calls us to be people who trust in God and place our confidence in God. Jesus tells us the story of a person who needs some bread and asks a friend for it. The friend does so not because of friendship but because of the persistence of the person requesting the bread. Jesus tells us that God will grant our requests if we ask Him. Jesus reminds us that a parent does not ignore the needs of a child; and, God who is more concerned about our needs will not ignore us either. What God desires is that we love God and trust that God will give us what we need.
Consider your trust in God. How great is it? Take time to share your thoughts, concerns, and cares with God. Listen to God and place your trust in Him.
