Acts 13:13-25 | Ps. 89:2-3, 21-22, 25, 27 | John 13:16-20
Jesus is talking to the disciples at the Last Supper. He is trying to teach them how to be his followers. If we follow Christ, we must follow Him in all aspects of life. We cannot pick and choose. None of us would choose the cross, but Christ assures us that we must walk in His footsteps. His feet walked the walk of the cross. We cannot be better than the Master. If the Shepherd is willing to lay down his life, then we, the sheep, must be willing to do so as well. Jesus also tells us that when we follow Him, we are following the Father. Christ and the Father are One.
Reflect on what Christ may be asking you to do for Him today in the workplace, your home, with others. Are you willing to witness Him? Are you willing to be marked as a Christian? Ask Jesus for the strength to do so.
