Thursday of the Third Week of Advent

Is. 54:1-10 | Ps. 30:2, 4-6, 11-13 | Lk 7:24-30

Isaiah reminds us that God is a God of love and justice.  While we may need to be disciplined God does not leave us alone because God is Love.  Jesus gives a testimony to John the Baptist and asks us who or what do we expect to see in John.  Jesus gives us the answer.  John was a man of discipline who learned from many years of prayer and fasting what it meant to be faithful.  He knew when he was to go out to preach and prepare the way of the Lord.  Likewise, we are called to be disciplined, to listen to the voice of God each day and to be faithful.

How do you prepare the way of the Lord?  How do you live faithfully each day?  How do you respond to God each day?  How do you respond to God in love?  Be specific.
