1Kings 11:29-32, 12:19 | Ps. 81:10-15 | Mark 7:31-37

In today’s Gospel, Jesus cures a deaf man who also had a speech impediment.  When the man was cured, the people were amazed at the power that Jesus had to do such things. This Gospel is telling us to put all our trust in God.  We are called to ask God to heal our ears and tongues so that we will allow ourselves to hear the word that God speaks to us and to have the courage to proclaim it to others.

How much do you believe in the work of God in your life?

Do you listen to the word of God with the depth of your heart?  How did you respond the last time you listened to the word of God spoken to you?  How did you respond? Ask God for the grace to listen attentively to the scriptures on Sunday and believe fully all that God is asking you to do.  Ask, also, for the grace to put that word into action for the benefit of others
