A program by St Anthony Gift Shop to reach out into the community and welcome a new way of doing business by identifying the needs of the community and find creative ways to partner with them thereby improving the quality of our gifts and products.
We have started the “Fill the Cup” program by acquiring rosaries made by Andriana from Brazil. These are high quality, hand-crafted rosaries and are only $14.00 each.
Artist,
Mother of Three,
Loving wife
Lives in Divinopolis (City of Divine or City of the Holy Spirit), in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Andriana has adventured in several small businesses, from clothes shops to ice cream shops (where she made her own ice cream).
As the economic situation in Brazil has deteriorated, Andriana and her husband Claudio struggle to keep the bills paid. They could not leave the three kids alone (since Miguel, the caregiver, is just 8; Lucas, the altar boy, is just 6; and Gabriel, the hand man, is just 5 years old) or pay for extra activities after school, imposing the presence of one parent with them.
Our Lady saw the struggle of this very catholic couple and asked the Holy Spirit to whisper in her ears: “Make rosaries. Make rosaries for adults and kids.” Initially, she thought, “how would buy rosaries if you can find them free in most churches.” Our Lady didn’t give up and asked for the intersection of Andriana’s relatives, who said: “Work for our Lady and her rosary. She will take care of you.”
Since then, Andriana has devoted her time to making and selling rosaries, always keeping her work close to Jesus and His Mother. with this blessed activity, she can work from home and take close care of her boys without letting them grow in the hands of strangers. As Jesus said, “the worker deserves his wages” (Luke 10:7), Adriana cannot only help her husband with bills and daily errands but also spread the devotion of the rosary of Our Lady, besides collecting all the graces to work for Our Lady,
We are glad Andriana listened to the Holy Spirit and I think you will also when you see one of her rosaries.
