Saturday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time
2 Sam. 12:1-7a, 10-17 | Ps. 51:12-17 | Mk. 4:35-41
Both Samuel and Mark present stories about a storm. King David has encountered a storm of his own making. Through the sins of adultery and murder, David brings disaster upon his family.
Our sins also affect others no matter how large or small. This is a fact which we cannot side step. David does repent when he realizes the consequences of his sin. The apostles are also experiencing a storm on the sea. They turn to Jesus for help and the storm is quelled. Jesus asks them: “Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?” Jesus takes care of them. Jesus also asks us to place all of our trust in Him.
How well do you trust God? What are some ways you can place ALL of your trust in God/ Begin today.
