14th Sunday in Ordinary Time

  Is. 66:10-14 | Ps. 66:1–7, 16, 20 | Gal. 6:14-18 | Lk. 10:1-12, 17-20

Jesus tells us that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.  He sent out seventy disciples to labor in the fields.  He invites us to be His disciples today.  We are called to bring the Word of God to all the people with whom we come in contact.  When we go to people, join them for festive occasions, console them, enjoy their company, give a helping hand, we are going in the name of Christ.  As we do these things, we are to bring the peace of Christ to others.  We need to be loving compassionate people with all whom we meet.

Take time today to reflect on this gospel.  Then, take time to reflect on your life.  How would other people describe you?   How are others affected by you?  What, if anything, needs to be changed by your approach?  How can you be more Christ like?   Take time to find a way to do so  now.
