Faith Formation: Adults & Children
At Queen of Peace Catholic Community we gather together at daily and weekly mass for the purpose of worshiping the Lord…to glorify, honor and praise Him. In addition to our worship time together at mass, we have many opportunities to deepen our faith and to strengthen our relationship with Jesus.
Each year of our lives, day-by-day, minute-by-minute, is an opportunity to deepen our faith. We are invited to love and follow Jesus more fully by developing a personal relationship with Him. The formal process for doing this is called Faith Formation. This process begins at birth and continues until death. At Queen of Peace, we begin with our Wee Worship Classes (age 3) and continue these classes through adulthood.
RCIA For Adults
RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. This ministry consists of inviting and providing an atmosphere of love and concern where people interested in the Catholic faith will be able to learn about the faith, and if the Spirit leads him or her to do so, join our Parish Community as a full member. Each participant has a sponsor, participates in designated Rites, prayer, spiritual reflections and classes on the Catholic faith. Sessions are once a week from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm with supper provided.
