Feast of St. Cyril of Jerusalem

Exodus 32:7-14 | Ps. 106:19-23 | John 5:31-47

Jesus continues the dialogue with the Jews. He is attempting to show them that they do not accept him because they have hardened their hearts. They read the scriptures, have listened to Moses’ teaching yet refuse to see that Christ is the one to whom all the scriptures point.

Are there times in your life when you were convinced that you knew exactly what was going on and what was right and wrong? Have you ever found out that you were wrong, dead wrong? This is a similar situation.

Are there areas of your life that you keep from Jesus? Are there things that you refuse to believe, to change? Ask God for openness so that you can hear how you are being called to conversion. Remember God is always with us to help us on the road.
