Isaiah 65:17-21 | Ps. 30:2, 4-6, 11-13 | John 4:43-54
Isaiah tells us that God is about to create new heavens, new earth. God will build Jerusalem as a joy and call its people a delight. Think about this. God is creating us anew. God calls you “my delight.” Allow yourself time to sit with this idea. Say this to yourself as if God is saying it to you: “ (Your name) are my delight.” How does that make you feel? Say the sentence several times and allow yourself to believe the sentence. This is what the Roman official did in the Gospel. He believed that Jesus would do what he said he would do. As a result, his son was healed.
Today, God wants nothing more than to have you believe: “ (Your name), you are my delight.” Believe it!
