Wisdom is the topic of the day. Sirach speaks of a search for wisdom. Once found, the author continues to grow in the virtue until it comes to direct all that is done. Jesus’ authority is questioned by those who do not possess wisdom. The chief priests, scribes and elders are questioning Jesus trying to trip him up. Jesus, full of Wisdom, foils their efforts. He is able to turn their questions into further questions, and they are unable to respond. Jesus does not let fear or any other emotion prevent Him from doing God’s work. Jesus remains faithful despite the antagonism of others.
How do you practice wisdom? Do you value the gift of Wisdom? Spend time asking Jesus for the desire to be wise in all you say and do.
