Certainly Philip has learned to listen to the Word of God. He approaches the carriage carrying the Eunuch and instructs him. The Eunuch on his part listens, has an open heart, responds, and is Baptized. Jesus continues his teaching concerning the fact that he is the Bread of the world. Those who listen to Jesus, accept him and allow him to feed them will have eternal life. Jesus is straightforward. His only plan is to show us that he has come to feed us and bring us life. If we listen and follow, we will have eternal life. This eternal life begins now as we live in the deep peace and joy of Christ through our surrender to Him.
Are you willing to be touched, healed, changed? Do you believe that God’s love is so strong as to send His only Son to die for you? Allow yourself time to spend with this mystery today. How will you respond? Will you bring God’s love to others? Eat the bread of the Word of God.
