Acts 22:3-16 | Ps. 117:1-2 | Mk. 16:15-18
Paul, one of the greatest persecutors of the followers of Christ, is converted on the way to Damascus. He becomes one of the greatest followers and preachers of the Good News of Christ. The first reading tells the story of his arrest and trial by those who are upset by his conversion. Paul knows how to work the crowd and is safe for the present time. The Gospel relates the story of the Resurrection and the fear that grips the apostles after the crucifixion of Jesus. Jesus confronts them and calls them to task for their lack of faith. We live in a time of great concern and anxiety. Jesus calls us to remember that He has conquered sin and death. Jesus invites us to put our trust in Him and be at peace.
Be still and take time to allow Jesus to bring His peace to you. Accept His peace and let it touch you deeply. Bring that peace to all today.
