Jesus commissions the twelve apostles and almost immediately sends them out to bring the Good News to the people. Jesus sends the apostles to the Jews so that they will be converted first. The apostles are to proclaim: “The Kingdom of God is at hand.” Just think how it would be like to be sent out to work the day you graduate from high school. We generally believe that people should be educated before they begin their work. Today, we certainly don’t want to throw people to the wolves. Yet, there is a message here. How much do you trust God to show you what to do and say in your daily life? God wants to be the director. If we place our trust in God, we cannot fail. Thus, each one of us is invited to go about the business of bringing Christ to them.
