Ex. 3:1–6, 9-12 | Ps. 103:1-4, 6-7 | Mt. 11:25-27

Once again, we see Moses and Jesus in similar situations of dialogue with God.  Moses is attracted by a bush that is burning yet does not seem to be consumed.  When Moses approaches, he hears God say:   “Come no nearer....take off your sandals, the ground on which you are standing is holy ground.  Moses is overwhelmed.  Jesus is giving praise to God for all that has been revealed to those who appear to be childlike.  Jesus acknowledges that all that He has, has been given to him from the Father.  It is Jesus who reveals the Father to us.

We need to stop each day to recognize the ways in which God comes to us.  It may be in nature, as it was for Moses.  It may take place in our children, our family, and our friends.  God may come to us through our work, our travel to and from work, etc.  It is important that we do give thanks to God for all the ways in which God is revealed to us.  Remember that event, that moment, that time is holy ground.  Take time to respond to God.
