Moses finds the false God the Jewish people made while Moses was on the top of the mountain. When he sees the calf, he throws the two tablets on the ground and they break. The closing of the letter to the Corinthians gives us an idea of the origin of the closing of the Mass. We see the importance of the candles and incense. Paul also leads us to see that God wants us to fall in love with God and know that He will be with us forever.
John’s Gospel is reminding us that God’s love for each of us is unbelievable. God’s love is so magnanimous that if we believe in Jesus, God will believe in us. No one who believes in God will be condemned but anyone who refuses to believe in Him will be condemned.
