Feast of St. Catherine of Alexandria, Virgin

Rev. 20:1-4, 11-21:2 | Ps. 84:3-6a, 8a | Lk. 21:29-33

Jesus reminds us that we know all the signs that tell us that seasons are coming and going, that life is coming or going, etc.  Jesus also tells us that His Work will not go away until it is fulfilled.  Jesus has come to bring the Word of God and salvation to us.  He is the fulfillment of the Covenant which God made ages ago to Abraham, Moses and all the ancestors of the Jewish people.  Trust is necessary as well as an openness to recognize all the signs that He brought calling us to new life and joy.

As we come to the close of this year, reflect on the ways in which you have drawn closer to God.  Give thanks for all these gifts.  Decide on one way you will continue to work to draw closer to God.
