Feast of St. John de Brebeuf and Isaac Jogues and Companions

Rom 5:12, 15, 17-19, 20b-21 | Ps 40:7-10, 17 |  Lk 12:35-38

Paul tells us that even though it was the sin of Adam that we inherited, it is overridden

by the grace we inherited through the suffering and death of Jesus Christ.  Jesus tells us to live our lives in such a way that we will not have to worry about anything when we die.  He tells us to be dressed with our belts fastened around our waists and our lamps lit.  Truly, God will provide for us.  What God desires from us is a heart that loves God above all things and that we will live each day out of that loveThis is a simple task.  We sometimes make it complicated.  However, if we determine to live each minute of our lives as if God is number one then we do not have to be concerned about the future.

Re-read the Gospel.  Envision how you would like to be living when you hear that you are dying. Begin to live now in that fashion.
