Our parish cooked and delivered 300 meals to feed the homeless at St. Francis House

We are excited to share the phenomenal news that our parish cooked and delivered 300 meals to feed the homeless at St. Francis House this Thanksgiving! What began as an idea grew organically, and as the excitement built, the “we can do it” spirit took root. Groups quickly coalesced to make it all come together; everything was soon fully staffed and provisioned without a parish wide invitation! Special thanks to Queen of Peace Catholic Academy and the Knights of Columbus and our Special Events team to make it all possible!

Thank you for your generous sharing and caring! Stewardship makes everything possible!

A Special Message from Fr. Al

Dearest Family in Christ,

One of my favorite Gospel stories tells us about the disciples and Jesus on a small boat in a terrible storm. The disciples are crazy afraid. What about Jesus? Well, he is asleep on a cushion, resting in the assurance that comes from His dear Father. The disciples try to wake him up frantically, and Jesus says, “Do not be afraid! Where is your faith?”

Dearest friends, we are living in a very unique historical moment. I have never experienced anything like it! But even though things have been crazy and our responses have been changing rapidly, Jesus has been by our side, giving all of us comfort and peace.

Though we cannot gather together physically, we are united by something great – the invisible power of love. We are the mystical body of Christ. And so, I would like to echo Jesus, “Do not be afraid!” The Good Lord is not only with us at this time, he is also teaching us how to find rest in the storm!

Please know that all of you remain in my heart and prayers. I love you! And there is nothing stronger than love.

Many blessings of peace! Courage!
Father Al Esposito, a loved sinner

¡Nunca he experimentado algo así!

ANIMO.

Paz en Cristo,
Padre Alberto Esposito
