Ez. 17:22-24 | Ps. 92:2-3, 13-16 | 2 Cor. 5:6-10 | Mk. 4:26-34
The Scriptures bring us a deep realization that God is indeed in charge of our world. It is God who plants the gifts in each of us. It is God who helps tend these gifts; and, we are called to recognize that all we have has been given to us by God. Doing so, we will give thanks and praise to God and not to ourselves. Paul reminds us that we are created to give praise and thanks to God. He tells us that we walk by faith not by sight.
Jesus relates a story about the kingdom. The seed is planted and grows without our noticing it; but, it still grows and produces. The mustard seed is planted and grows into a great tree. God takes care of the seed whether we notice it or not. We are called to tend the seed of God’s love in our life so that it will grow and blossom. We are also invited to give thanks to God for all these great gifts given to us.
Take time today to think of all the gifts God has given to you. Thank God for these gifts!
